Three weeks ago was my last blog post I have been out of the country attending to very personal needs in relation to my wife who has since passed away from complications from Breast Cancer that developed into Bone Cancer. You might find it strange that my wife passed away in the Philippines and was buried there.
This is due to several reason:
First I am from the island of Guam where Health Care is limited not that we don't have a bunch of doctors and Clinics. But real quality health care is lacking. There are no cancer treatment centers in Guam or should I say none to my knowledge. Additionally we go to the Philippines for much of our medical treatment as it is only 1,500 miles from Guam to the Philippines as apposed to Hawaii at 3,000+ miles. Most of us that have medical insurance on the island insurance is recognised in the Philippines. But not always as in my case I will not relate at this time as to why. medical expenses in the Philippines are half of that in the United States even with out Medical Insurance. In fact the cost of her treatment out of pocket is less that what my deductible would have been if treated in the United States with my medical insurance that I have through my work place.
Second my wife was from the Philippines and it is there where she wanted to be buried, and as a good husband I complied with her wishes.
I guess that I should be listed in the Guineas Book of Records as being the only person to have been who ever married to 2 women from the Philippines that both passed away from cancer one from Cervical Cancer, the other from Breast Cancer; that were Identical Twins this was of course very hard on their mother to have lived to see her two oldest children die from the same horrible death.
On a positive note I was able to teach 2 of my nieces and a nephew how to disassemble a computer and show them how easy it is to do computer repair, being self taught in the same from information learned at
http://www.diy-computer-repair.com/ which is where I learned to repair computers. I believe in sharing knowledge.
I will be setting up an Internet Cafe for my nieces in the coming months at the family property in their home Provence. Now there are other Internet Cafes within a couple houses from the house but my girls will also be doing computer repair as I will be buying and sending them the same books in printed form that I have in e-book form for them to learn from.
I provided the means for their their mother to have a small store for her to derive an income from in the Philippines some time ago and we will be extending the building for the computer cafe.
Have learned that the cost of mother boards video cards power supplies etc. are the same or less that what I can buy them for here in the United States.Which is good I will not have to pay to send motherboards, hard drives and other related parts to the Philippines nor pay the taxes involved in doing so.
Thus this is how I will end this post.
