Well it has been a while

Well hello,

It has been a while since I have made a post, being a "Merchant Seaman" means, that I spend most of my time working on ships. As such I have had very little time to work on my blog and when ashore I have had to do a number of thing. Such as repairing the roof of my house that received storm damage. Did the repairs myself.

In my last group of posts I wrote about our "Changing Credit" in these economic times well I am very happy to say that I finally got through to the folks at GMAC/Homecomings Financial. I can only believe that it took a great deal of personal effort to get them to understand that I would not let them walk on me and proved that I was never behind in my payments. If you look at my previous posts you will see all that I communicated to the powers to be at GMAC. I now have a direct phone number to a top "Executive Assistant" who I can call at any time; other than going through their "Customer Care" which in truth is a call center the Philippines. Even though they claim to be in Iowa some where. Had a long phone call with the Executive Assistant about their Customer Care and the lack of efficiency. I can only hope that GMAC improves their phony system for the good of the Corporation as result. I thank her.

Bottom line is that I was success full in getting my accounts cleared up, late payment and interest fees reversed. And most important getting my " Credit Scores" back on track.

My point is this had I not read the information in the E-book that I recommend to others on this site I would not have had the in site to take on GMAC and assist them in correcting their accounting errors.

Someone in their Automated Check Cashing Center decided to credit my first mortgage payment to my second mortgage and my second mortgage payment to my first as a part payment.

That is what started the whole mess; and even when I pointed out that they were in error they said that the problem would be corrected but failed to do so repeatedly.

Of course this was during a time the GMAC was "TOO BIG TO FAIL" causing "President Obama" and "Congress to influx Billions upon Billions of dollars into GMAC and their Finance Division. Requiring that GMAC Financial, become an Investment Bank. How could they respond to my needs to correct their accounting errors when the powers to be; were to busy trying to keep their own jobs and save their own credit and homes, cars, airplanes, boats, etc.

Being one of the little people who does not walk in the circle of the East Coast GOOD OLD BOY's

and GIRL's. I had to prove that I like everyone else in this Country the; United States Of America had the right to be treated with dignity and respect. How many other people in this country were or are currently in the same situation that I was in and have lost the energy to fight for what they they know is right.

My fight was not just for myself but for all of us who work in this Country who own house in this Country, who have children to raise, bills to pay.

The World Economy is still in shambles as is our own National Economy. Unemployment is at an all time high.

I met two very nice ladies a couple of months ago that had worked for "Country Wide" and "Citi Bank" in San Francisco they too had lost their jobs when the "Great New World Wide Depression" reached it's present state. (To be candid lets call it what it is and not a "Recession."

When a Government Run Bank of an entire nation fails we are in a very dark depression. and don't let the Kids on Capital Hill, BS you, nor the Guy In that Big White House.) They decided to give Starbucks a run for the money and set up a small Coffee Shop in a parking garage, both were "Loan Officers" before the great housing failure. (Reminds me I still need to refinance the house.)

I get my coffee from them and not the 3 Starbucks that are within 1,000 feet of the of the Parking Garage when I am in town. Don't have wifi but I don't bring my laptop when I am there to get my hair cut next door.

A manicure is in the works also as my hand are in pretty rough shape after 4 months of manual labor on a ship. I joke with the manicure lady that I need a discount as I missing part of the left ring finger on one of my hands and half of the nail is missing. Doesn't stop me from typing at 30 words per minute when I am on a roll.

In conclusion life is a little better now I have a second grand child and the other one is going to have her birthday in 2 days and be a very knowledgeable 4. My wife was a little up set that she could not hold the second grand child as her back was hurting to much. We have learned that she has advances bone cancer an will not be with us much longer. So a good deal of my income is spent on medical bills. Thank goodness I can write them off in my taxes as I have done for a couple of years now since she developed Breast Cancer. Doesn't make up for the emotion pain, or her suffering, I will be a different man when she is gone in the mean time I have to love and support her all I can.

I am not one of the great writer of blog's on the Internet; only one of us that write what I feel the need to and it is my hope, that others read what I write and can take comfort in knowing that they are not alone in the world. That we all have adjustment to make in our every day lives. That if someone reads what I have written that they will find the courage to take on their own financial battles as I have done and save their credit and homes if they know that they are in the right.

One of the thing I did in the last year while on a ship was to write a book on Solar Energy ( Orange Pickel's Guide to Solar Energy) which is something that I have dabbled with off and on for years. Will some day market the book as an e-book when I get around to setting up a real website. and intend to write some other books in the future.

Wrote another e-book on Bowling, based on my first experiences in bowling 35 years ago when I learned to bowl and set some records on my 21 birthday 9 weeks after picking up a bowling ball for the first time in my life. In open bowling, I managed to bowl 2 each 300 games one with the right hand the other with the left as I am ambidextrous. That was the last day I picked up a bowling ball, until a few months ago when I decided I would make a come back. Well it is evident that I like a personal challenge. (Orange Pickel's Guide to Bowling a 300 Game)

Bowling lanes are not what they were in my youth I am 56 this month and in the old days we used black rubber balls and the new plastic ball were just becoming a thing. The lanes are now coated with a clear polyurethane and oiled with synthetic oil. This combination makes it harder to make a strike by design I shot 12 straight 9 one game. Had some crazy idea that IT, would be easy to make a come back and regain a long forgotten tittle of being one of the best bowlers in the word. Need some new balls as I bought the cheapest one at the pro shop and it is a hard plastic.

Guess I will need to get a couple of different balls and have them drilled differently for hook based on the hook potential of the design of the ball. The serious league bowlers have 5 to 7 balls that they drag around.

Will keep readers posted on these event if there are any (readers that is) concerning these events.

To change subjects I was so I thought one of the last of the old dog to buy a computer, a laptop. that was 4 years ago. Have spent day reading in windows help about how to do thing with this darn thing fought with it for many a day. But learned so much, now there is not much that I can't do with it. Still using Windows XP Pro. Media Center, that it came with. Didn't up grade to vista. An Acer Aspire 5100 4 years later still going strong.

Bought a few other computers since this one. 2 are Acer/ Gateway/Emachine yes they are all one company and now Packard Bell a very old American electronics company. I did make the mistake of buying a couple of the ACER ASPIRE One Net books both died within days of the end of the warranty. One day they simply would not turn on. Research on the Internet indicates that there are a lot of unhappy people out there that bought the same that have died and Acer is unwilling to provide any answers. Replacement motherboards cost more than the purchase price of the Netbook.

My advice don't support ACER with your hard earned Depression $$$.

Thank you.
